2009 ASEP Conference ~ September 10–13, 2009 ~ Mesa, Arizona Since the late 1960s, traditional shamanism has become increasingly popularized, and contemporary shamanic adaptations have been emerging in Western culture. In the last few years, many practitioners have begun to use the "shamanic" label and to adapt shamanic approaches with their clients and students. But what is shamanism? And what is a sexual shaman? In this conference, we explore the integration of shamanic practices with sexual energy. ~Program Chair: Kenneth Ray Stubbs, Ph.D. PRESENTERS (preliminary list) Thunder Strikes: Christina Pratt: Gender Variance in Traditional Shamanism Gina Ogden, PhD, LMFT: Calling in the Spirits: Sex Therapy Meets Shamanism Stanley Krippner, PhD: Shamanic Models of Sexuality: Cross-Cultural Perspectives Rabbi J.
